Butter and Garlic Pollock

The Alaskan favorite—pollock—is the star of this recipe. Without hiding its natural flavor, butter and garlic beautifully complement the pollock to give it light yet delicious flavor. Beginners are welcome here, as this recipe doesn’t require any great amount of cooking skill and can be done in under 15 minutes! Ingredients

  • 6 oz frozen pollock pieces (thawed)

  • 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter

  • 1 clove garlic

  • Salt & pepper

  • Optional: juice of half of a lemon

Cooking Steps

Melt Butter

In a frying pan, melt 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter over medium-low heat. While butter is melting, mince 1 clove of garlic.

Cook Garlic

To the pan with melted butter, add garlic, and cook until browned. Season with salt & pepper to taste.

Cook Pollock

Place pollock in the pan and cook over medium-low heat for 4-5 minutes per side. Continuously spoon the garlic and butter over the pollock while cooking. Once the pollock flakes easily with a fork, remove it from the pan, and enjoy!

Optional: Squeeze the juice of half of a lemon over the fish.
