Homemade Pizza Dough
#vegetarian #vegan #family-friendly
Total Time: 30 min.
Ingredients
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 packet instant yeast (2 ¼ tsp)
1 cup of warm water
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp salt
- You can use a stand mixer to make the mixing a little easier, but a stand mixer isn’t required.
- I recommend putting down a nonstick mat or silicone mat under your bowl to avoid sliding when mixing.
- You can prepare this dough and save it for a later time (max 1 day later). Leave in the bowl, covered in a warm place, and watch the dough rise!
Cooking Steps
Mix Ingredients
In a bowl, combine half of the flour (1 ¼ cups), 1 packet of instant yeast, and 1 tsp salt. Once combined, stir in 1 cup of warm water. Mix until combined, about 1-2 min., scraping down the sides of the bowl.
Add Oil + Remaining Flour
To the bowl, add 2 Tbsp. olive oil. Mix dough vigorously for 3-5 min., until combined and smooth. Stir in the remaining flour.
Knead Dough
Turn dough onto a well-floured surface. Knead for 6-8 min. Cover the dough and let it rest for at least 10 min.
Once the dough has risen, it is ready to use!
