How to Press Tofu

Pressing tofu can give it a crispier overall texture by squeezing out extra moisture. So if you want crispy, flavorful tofu then let’s get to pressing! 

* If you want to meal-prep the tofu, you can press it the day before and store it in an airtight container in the fridge. 

Steps

  • Wrap a block of tofu in a clean towel and put it on a large plate.

  • Put something heavy on top of the tofu such as a pot or baking dish. Weigh the tofu down for at least 20-30 min. (The tofu should be significantly reduced in size.)
