Quick Cinnamon Apples

Ingredients

  • 3 large apples

  • 1 Tbsp. unsalted butter

  • 1 Tbsp + ⅓ cup water

  • 2 tsp cornstarch

  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

Cooking Steps

Prep

Peel and cut 3 large apples into ¼ in (½ cm) slices. Melt 1 Tbsp. unsalted butter and 1 Tbsp. water in a medium pan over medium heat. 

Cook Apples

Add the sliced apples to the butter and stir to coat. Cook for 4 min., or until the apples are softened. 

Make Cornstarch Slurry

In a small bowl, mix together 2 tsp. cornstarch and ⅓ cup water until fully combined. 

Finish

Add the cornstarch slurry to the apples along with 1 Tbsp. brown sugar and ½ tsp cinnamon. Stir until well combined. Reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer for 4 min., until thickened. Serve!
