Simple White Cheddar Mac & Cheese

Ingredients
8 oz elbow macaroni
4 Tbsp. butter
¼ cup flour
2 cups milk
2 cups white cheddar, shredded
Salt & pepper, to taste
Cooking Steps
Prep
Cook pasta according to box instructions. Drain & set aside. If using a block of cheese, grate 2 cups of white cheddar.
Make Roux
Melt 4 Tbsp. butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add ¼ cup flour, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir until smooth, about 5 minutes.
Make Sauce
Slowly pour in 2 cups of milk, while stirring continuously.
Once all of the milk is used, continue stirring until the mixture is smooth and bubbling, about 5 minutes.
*Keep an eye on the milk to prevent burning.
Add cheese and stir until melted. Fold in pasta.
Serve immediately!
